Having The Traitor in the Official Selection at Cannes Film Festival represents a big victory for Brazilian audiovisual industry. It is an important co-production, directed by one of the most important cinematographers in the world, but with a Brazilian DNA. The film tells a story quite relatable with our country’s, using Brazilian talents and crew, and also in Brazil.

We are representing Brazil in Cannes and we are really happy about it. This is an important sign so that everyone notices the importance of the audiovisual industry in the modern world, as all the most developed countries have straightforward and objectives public policies for the growth and consolidation of the audiovisual sector. We are a powerful industry that is growing each year, we have sure that we can count with Brazilian Government support to advance with our goal to place the country as a protagonist in production and distribution of audiovisual content in Brazil and around the world.
