When Dalberto falls in love with beautiful and mysterious Anaíra, he leaves his job in the police and becomes the captain of a boat. The couple starts to live in house that Dalberto shares with his two brothers, on the banks of the Rio Negro, but when Dalberto is forced to take a risk on a long trip upriver, forbidden desires appear. While Dalmo, the older brother, struggles to control his attraction for hos sister-in-law, Anaíra and Armando, the youngest brother, get closer. Dalberto’s return brings together, under the same roof, the three brothers in love with the same woman.
