1970. Brazil and the world seem to be upside down, but the biggest concern in the life of 12-year-old Mauro (Michel Joelsas) has little to do with the country’s military dictatorship: his biggest dream is to see Brazil become three-times world football champion. Suddenly, he is separated from his parents and forced to adapt to a “strange” and fun community – Bom Retiro, a neighborhood of São Paulo, home to Jews and Italians among other cultures. An exciting story of overcoming obstacles and solidarity
